The importance of reading can not be overstated. It is essential for a child’s development, and we should inculcate reading habits from a young age, starting as early as 3 months. We can begin by giving an infant a book to touch and look at, igniting the engine of their imagination.

 It is essential to start young. Reading aloud to infants from birth, using simple picture books, captures their attention. Furthermore, reading helps in every stage of our lifespan. It enhances our vocabulary and improves grammar. During our academic years, Reading boosts our focus and attention span.

Additionally, Reading stimulates analytical thinking and improves problem-solving skills. Children who read regularly tend to develop better overall personalities. Reading about different characters and scenarios helps humans better understand, create, deal with, and relate to their own and others’ emotions.

Introducing books to children makes them far more knowledgeable about a plethora of cultures, traditions, variety, customs, etc.; it gives them a vast scope for growth and understanding of the world.
